There are multiple ways to apply a 2-coloured eye-shadow. It all depends on the effect you are trying to create; simple or dramatic. In applying eye-shadow the shape of your eye is a very important factor to consider.
When applying two different colours of eye-shadow, selecting contrasting colours does the trick. Contrasting colours such as black and white, silver and blue, gold and brown, pink and purple, orange and brown, purple and black, yellow and green, etc work well together.
If you are just starting to use makeup or you are used to one-coloured eyeshadow and you want to try more than one colour , this approach will guide you to doing it skillfully well.

| Using an eye-shadow brush, Apply the lighter eye-shadow (the gold) to the inner corner of the eye; stop at the center of the eye. Do not go above the crease of the eyes. Reserve the crease for contouring (the crease is that part of the eye that folds when you look up). |

With a different eyeshadow brush, apply the darker eye-shadow (the coffee brown) starting from the point where the gold eye-shadow stops (center) to the outer corner of the eye. |

Using a different clean brush (the middle brush), blend the center of the eyes where the two eye-shadows meet. This is very key….blend softly until u can’t see where the gold eye shadow stops and where the brown begins. |

For the final contouring effect, apply the little eye-shadow left on the blending brush to the crease; this is the contouring effect. Ensure this is as mild as possible, you don't want to have excess eyeshadow around your crease. Apply the rest of your eye makeup: highlight the brow bone, apply eyeliner and mascara….VIOLA! You are done. Remember practice makes perfect! |
